I decided to remix my forth move. This morning I did the following.
I took her stuff out of the medicine cabinet and onto the counter, and put my stuff in, very much like the initial photo.
And I then processed to cover her shelf (on the left side of the sink) with seran wrap.

My forth move. (FAIL)
My forth move is a fail, I'll admit it. I tried to seran wrap the medicine cabinet shut. Yet, it could still be open with no hassle. Nor was she tempted to make a fifth move in response.
I covered the shelves with seran wrap and tape. Weak.
Then I wrapped the plastic around the medicine cabinet. But it was all for show, no real success.

My third move.
My third move = epic. Since we can't agree on how to make this work, I decided that the only thing that belongs in the medicine cabinet is medicine.
I put all our things on our respective sides of the sink, and respective shelves on the left hand side.

Her third move.
Her third move was bold. I tip my hat. She put the shelf back, AND took a shelf from the boys' side of the bathroom.
My second move.
My second move is simple again. I decide to remove the top shelf, since that is the source of the conflict. (And at this point we are in Day 3 of the conflict, Day 0 being Monday January 3, 2011.
Her second move.
Her second move shows how stubborn she is. She moves her items back onto the top shelf, and squeezes my items into the little spaces. Notice the vitamin bottle that was on the top shelf is now on its side, balancing atop other items.
Her first move.
Her first move. Notice my top shelf items are now on the counter. And her items are on the top shelf.
Initial / Background
The situation between my roommate and I can be boiled down to: We met freshman year of college and became best friends. We lived together our second year. Repeat living together our third year. Third time is NOT the charm. The apartment totals: 2 girls (us) and 3 guys, one of whom she started dating over the summer, and is still dating. It got so bad that she had decided to move out.
Present day: Its the second quarter of our third year, Winter 2011, and now it is official, she has everything in boxes, ready to go. Yet she is still here. (She even took down her U2 poster. Don't ever make fun of U2. I learned the hard way.) There you go, you're all caught up.
Welcome.
Hello there.
This is my first blog. To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of them. But recent moments in my life have shown me that a blog is in order.
The blog's name is "Medicine Cabinet Wars". My roommate and I don't exactly get along. And this month started a new conflict, in the medicine cabinet.
Just for kicks, I thought (around her third maneuverer in the medicine cabinet) that this would make a funny blog.
So, I'll post pictures up as the conflict takes new directions.
Join me for the fun. (I don't think she finds it funny, but it's not her blog, now is it?)
